At Scout Film Festival we work tirelessly to provide opportunities to emerging filmmakers from all over the world, in a safe and supportive environment.
Unfortunately, this year, because of the COVID -19 virus, we face unusual difficulties related to health concerns, large gatherings, and travel bans. At Scout, we want to make sure we protect everyone's health while still providing opportunities for screenings, education, workshops, and networking. We have decided to postpone the 3-day event in Boston, MA because we, along with our hosting partners, The New England Aquarium and The Institute of Contemporary Art, want to do all that we can to protect the health of our filmmakers and community. We are rescheduling for another date in the Fall of this year, and producing an alternative series of online experiences during the dates of April 16-18. Stay tuned!
We are grateful to our Host Partners The New England Aquarium and The Institute of Contemporary Art for their support and collaboration on this matter and throughout the production and planning of Scout 2020.
We will produce something magical and memorable for our global filmmakers and community in 2020. As we think about our heroic screening committee and Industry Jury, our incredible partners and sponsors, and as we look over our list of official selections and nominees, we are determined to follow through with our mission of supporting the filmmakers and their films.
More news about Scout Film Festival 2020, Plan B coming soon.
Our hearts are with all the individuals and organizations around the world. We truly wish for everyone to be safe and healthy.
