Scout 2020 Official Selections

The Scout Film Festival 2020 Official Selections

Welcome to one of our favorite moments of the year as we announce The Scout Film Festival 2020 Official Selections! From Thursday, April 16 to Saturday, April 18, 2020—Scout Film Festival will be screening 151 films from all over the world on the big screens of The New England Aquarium's Simons Theatre and The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, MA!

"We are so proud of this year's filmmakers who have shared their voices and films. We are grateful to them for trusting us to share their stories. Each year we are reminded of the importance of empowering emerging storytellers worldwide and how critical it is to amplify and connect the voices of the future." - Scout Founder, Anna Colavito.
"Scout received over 1300 submissions from more than 80 countries. Over 50% of our selected films have been written and/or directed by filmmakers who identify as Female or People of Color—this is evidence of the abundance in vision and perspectives that can elevate visual storytelling through film. As a Hispanic, this is a sign of hope." said Adriana Teresa Letorney, Scout co-Founder & Festival Director

Congratulations to all the filmmakers included in this year's festival, and to ALL who submitted, THANK YOU! It has taken us months to finalize the process due to the high caliber of submissions we received! Thank you for sharing your work and vision with us! We look forward to viewing your future work!

Scout is delighted to share the 2020 official selections per category!
Films are listed by category and then alphabetically. Nominees in all categories are indicated.
