2019 Emerging Storytellers Grant Finalists

2019 EMERGING STORYTELLERS GRANT RESULTS

The projects below were screened by the Jury for final selection. All film projects which advanced to the Jury were considered for either: Winner, Finalist or Honorable Mention.

We announced the winners on January 5, 2019 at the Scout Film Festival Awards Ceremony in Stowe, VT, USA.

The winner of each age category will receive:
- $5000 cash to complete the project submitted,
- one-on-one mentorship with Jurassic World's Colin Trevorrow,
- a special film screening at Scout Film Festival,
- a Three Year sponsored Visura Plus Membership and invite to join GUILD, a curated database of leading visual storytellers in photography, film and illustration.

Finalists receive One Year sponsored Visura Plus Membership.

In this, our inaugural grant open call, we were thrilled to see film projects from a completely different angle. We received high caliber submissions and advanced only a small percentage! Thank you to all who submitted for your brave and thoughtful storytelling, your dedication to the craft, narrative, and vision. Thank you for sharing your work with Scout Film Festival.

Undoubtedly, some of our alumni filmmakers will become leaders in the field. Scout is a conduit for discovering talent early and offers a stage upon which we amplify, unify and celebrate budding storytellers.
