Scout Film Festival, based in Stowe, has launched a career development program in support of filmmakers age 24 and younger.
The program offers grants, scholarships, mentorships, internships and other career opportunities to emerging filmmakers worldwide.
Kicking off this program, Scout — in partnership with Visura.co — is offering Scout Film Festival Short Film Grants. Emerging filmmakers worldwide can receive $5,000 in cash and in-kind support for completion of a new short narrative or documentary project or work in progress in one of two age categories; 18 and under, or 19 to 24. The winner will be announced at the Scout Film Festival Awards Ceremony in 2019.
The grants’ mission: recognize filmmakers age 24 and under worldwide working in short film medium; support an ongoing or new/future short film; bring the work of filmmakers age 24 and under to key industry leaders worldwide; and recognize the importance of supporting the next generation of film leaders.
