Utkan Dora 2017

Utkan Dora Oncul, 17-year-old artist from Istanbul, Turkey

When Scout commissioned artwork from Utkan, he was a high school student intrigued in Artistic fields of Illustration, Fine Arts, Photography and Film. His short film "Projam (Away)" was an official selection of Scout Film Festival 2017, which is how we discovered his work.

Utkan designed Scout's 2017 poster and merchandise artwork "Filmmaker". You can find and follow Utkan's work on Instagram @utkandorart.

Grant Hoekstra 2017

Grant Hoekstra, 16-year-old artist from Alberta, Canada

Grant declares he is fortunate to contribute his art to the Scout Film Festival. When you take a look at his work you will see the fortune is ours. Grant was 15 when he painted the pieces we presented on our posters and merchandise! His main goal is to be able to make a living off of what he loves doing, and to inspire other people to strive to do the same. Grant believes this life should be spent with people we love, doing the things that make us happy. We found Grant through his Instagram page.

Grant designed Scout's poster and merchandise art "Telescope", "Swing" and "Balloons".

Srwsht Abarash 2016/2017

Srwsht Abarash, from Kurdistan, Iraq is the Scout Film Festival 2016 Winner Best Horror, with his film "Missing Facts".

Srwsht sat on the 2017 Jury as one of Scout's Exceptional Young Filmmaker Jurors alongside our Industry Jurors. He has been busy working on The Slemani International Film Festival and has made full time work of writing, directing and producing film.

Isabella Olaguera 2016/2017

Isabella Olaguera, from New Jersey is the Scout Film Festival 2016 Winner Best Overall Film, with "Spell".

Isabella has been working non stop on set since we met at Scout. Isabella sat on the Jury for Scout 2017 as one of Scout's Exceptional Young Filmmaker Jurors alongside our Industry Jurors.

Isabella's extensive set work includes: Assistant Director for 7 feature films and over 50 professional projects. Staff 2nd AD for The Perfect Murder on ID; Line Producing her first feature. 1st AD on Oscar-Nominated Best Live Action Short Film My Nephew Emmett
